Discussion of how to handle seed money. This refers to the Reading Summerfest Application, where they give out
their profits to other groups. If there are profits, they are given to other groups. This constant taking from the fund
will eventually drain the account. We would like to keep the trust going for future town wide events.
Frank Kyle made a motion to give seed money, in the amount of $1,000.00, to Reading Summerfest with the
stipulation that the seed money of $1,000.00 be returned to the Celebration Trust prior to the disbursement of any
donations.
Kurt Habel 2nd
Vote 5 -0 -0 in favor of the grant.
Discussion of Coolidge Gardens Committee application. The only part of their event that seemed to fit the trust
guidelines, was the reception.
Habel made a motion to fund the Coolidge Gardens Committee for the reception of the Garden tour of
Reading, in the amount of $225.00. If the event does not go on, the money. ($225.00) will be retuned to the
Celebration Trust.
Bill McLaughlin 2nd
Vote 4 -0 -1 in favor of the grant. Everrett Blodgett Abstained.
Everrett Blodgett made a motion to make an amendment to the Reading Summerfest funding, that if the fireworks
do not go on, the seed money ($1,000.00) will be returned to the Celebration Trust.

Vote 5 -0 -0 in favor of the amendment
Discussion of the missing $7,000.00 from the Millenium Celebration. $5,000.00 was held back by Celebrations,
Inc. in case any surprise bills came due. There was also a grant that Celebrations, Inc. applied for $2,000.00 from
the Cultural Council ?. The money was to cover some production at the Millennium Event. We would like to find
out what happened to the $7,000.00. Charlie Peacock is the current Treasurer of Celebrations, Inc. Kurt Habel will
contact him so that we can see the Celebrations, Inc.'s books.
