Topics of Discussion:
Meeting called to order at 7:04PM
Mr. Blodgett passed out copies of the letter from the Attorney General certifying the Summer
Avenue Historic District. He also passed out copies of the updated Reading General Bylaw
section 7.3, the Guidelines and the Rules and Regulations for review.
The Commission discussed the letter to be sent to MA Historical Commission notifying them of
the completion of the process of establishing the Summer Avenue Historic District. It will be
sent with copies of the Certified Vote of Town Meeting of November 10, 2014, a copy of the
Attorney General's letter, and a copy of the recording documents.
There was discussion of the name change of the Commission from West Street Historic District
Commission to Historic District Commission. Mr. Blodgett will contact Mr. LeLacheur and Town
Counsel to have that happen.
New signs will need to be made for the new district.
Ms. O'Neill requested that work needs to be done to investigate establishing more districts.
She suggested portions of Woburn Street, portions of Summer Avenue to the south beyond
Woburn Street, and possible other areas. Ms. O'Neill also asked if the Commission had an
expected timeframe for hearing from Criterion about their proposal.
The Commission discussed areas of the Bylaw that could be applicable to Critierion's expected
proposal.

The Commission agreed to have regularly scheduled meetings on the second Monday of the
month with additional meetings scheduled as needed.
Motion made by Ms. Poehler to adjourn at 10:05PM. Mr. Blodgett seconded. Vote 4 -0.
