186 Summer
West Street Historic District (WSHD) sent a letter to the
Avenue
Building Inspector with a copy to Criterion and RHC, no
response as of February 11, 2015.
119 Salem
RHC visited the site, specifically Apartment #1, on January

18, 2015. RHC will check in again, to keep engaged with the
owners, regarding updated building plans. The owners
discussed maintaining the house set back to retain current
streetscape and re -use of the granite foundation blocks
elsewhere on the property.

The owner expressed interest in demolishing the barn but

has not yet a lied for the Demolition Permit.
51 Grove
The house, on Reading's List of Historic Homes, was sold

M.F. Charles
RHC voted unanimously to approve funds up to $50 on

Discussed the proposed RHC Rules and Regulations
Revise based on

document. In addition, discussed the Town Charter revisions

and how they might impact the RCH Rules and Regulations
by allowing Associate Members to vote.
The proposed Town Charter does not allow for Associate
Members, unless defined in the Charter or in a new Town
Bylaw. JB volunteered to follow up on this issue with the
Town Manager.

VA attended the Reading Public Library Groundbreaking

Ceremony where both she and the RHC were

• VA spoke with Chris at Mass. Historical Commission
regarding the Reading Workshop on Administering
Demolition Delay processes. Chris said the workshop
should be held in March or later. RHC proposed
scheduling the workshop on April 7, 8, or 9 from 7pm to
9pm, place is still TBD.
• The Medford Historical Commission meeting, at which
VA will be speaking on Demolition Delay, was
rescheduled for February 18, 2015.
• The List of Historical Homes must be reviewed regularly,
sometime in the next few months.
