Topics of Discussion:
The meeting was called to order at 7:07pm.
Minutes from the meeting on October 18, 2014 were approved.
1. Hunting
Need to put up signs about bow hunting at Mattera and at the gas line entrance to
Cedar Swamp. This is really a Cons Comm issue.
2. Pinevale
Map from Feb. 3, 2013 says "add..." - for this project we are not adding any large
sections. There are 2 boardwalk areas to be worked on. Pick 1 and finish it first.
The 2 Vh Inch screws that are needed can be purchased the day before we begin. We
need to bring the generator. Meet at Mattera on both Sat Nov 15 and Sun Nov 16 at
9:00am.
3. Trail maintenance
Dave has laminated maps for putting up in Bare Meadow and the Town Forest.
Between Dave and Will, they will put them up.
Town Forest Committee will be putting up signs about a coyote den near the nature
trail.
Kylie Drive - trail needs to be blazed, need a kiosk at the trailhead.
4. Winter activities

Town of Reading - Meeting Minutes,
Speaker - Will and Dave will ask around at the trails conference. Should we find a
tracking person? It would require funding. Tom will call Stone Zoo and the Audubon
Society. Should we contact DCR?
Dave will be giving a talk on his trip to Alaska on Jan. 20 at the Senior Center.
Photography contest - Do we need to reach out to someone with expertise? Rachel
Baumgartner? Send ideas for a general framework to Dave.
S. Year -end Report
We have not been asked yet, but we will need to report on RTC activities for the
year -end report. Dave volunteered to write it. Tom will let Dave know when it is
due. Jean to send Dave a summary of minutes (include Higgins repair, Boy Scout
projects, Cranberry Dam fortification, and Pinevale work).
6. Dock on Ipswich River
Alternative to a boardwalk out to the river is to go several yards east and do a trail
out to the river. Need approval from Army Corps of Engineers for the dock. Can a
state group do the project (like Lobs Pound Mill)?
The meeting was adjourned at 8:05pm.
