Ad Hoc Finance Committee Subcommittee lul4 DEC 18 A 0 24 Date: 2014 -12 -08 Time: 7:00 PM Building: Reading Town Hall Location: Conference Room Address: 16 Lowell Street Purpose: General Business Attendees: Members - Present: Chair Mark Dockser, Paul McNeice, Peter Lydecker, and Craig Merry Members - Not Present: Others Present: Town Accountant Sharon Angstrom Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Topics of Discussion: Chairman Mark Dockser called the meeting to order at 7:06 PM. Mr. Dockser explained the third firm they interviewed has backed out due to conflict issues. He reminded the group that the first firm would not bid, leaving them with Powers 8 Sullivan as their only bidder. The group discussed that Powers 8 Sullivan was a strong candidate from the start and they are all confident they can get the job done appropriately. Mr. Dockser reminded the group it has been 3 months since they were approved to do this investigation and they need to get it going. The group discussed the proposal that Powers 8 Sullivan sent over and decided they would like to add a point of contact to the agreement, being Mr. Lydecker. Mr. McNeice made a motion to recommend FINCOM appoint Powers 3 Sullivan to perform the engagement as written, second by Mr. Lydecker. approved with a 4 -0-0 vote. The group discussed the next possible time to meet, leaving it at either January 7'" or 10. Mr. Lvdecker made a motion to approve the minutes from November 17"'. 2014 as written. second by Mr. Many, approved with a 4 -0-0 vote. Mr. Lydecker made a motion to approve the minutes from November 20, 2014 as written, second by Mr. McNeice, approved with a 4 -0 -0 vote. Mr. McNeice will present to the Reading Memorial Light Board. Mr. McNeice made a motion to adioum. second by Mr. Merrv. and aooroved with a 4.0 -0 vote. Respectfully submitted, Secretary Page 1 1
