Discussion:
- Website: Some people have indicated trouble with the website; when they log on,
2013 info pops up. Per Sheila, John Feudo is aware of issue & looking into it
- Booth assignments: Denise Eaton has assigned booths to all 97 registrants, most
requests have been accommodated. Upper Haven is filled. Email blast to Haven
Street businesses will go out reminding them to register if they plan to participate in
faire to reserve space in front of their businesses.
- Posters: Leslie has visited majority of businesses with posters /car show flyers; has
encouraged businesses to register asap if they plan to participate
- Sponsorships: agreed that committee will not actively solicit sponsorships. If
inquiries received, we will suggest sponsors donate to cover expenses in certain
areas, such as entertainment stages, water /crafts /games for Children's Area, Pie
Eating contest, dance floor. All sponsors are responsible for their own signs (max size
11X17). Stage sponsors are responsible for providing & putting up their own
banners /signage. Any checks received for sponsorships should be made out the
Town of Reading with 'sponsorship' in memo line & forwarded to Denise Eaton. She
will collect & deliver to Maureen Knight in one group. Committee does not
anticipate a large number of sponsorships.
- Other:
• note for next year: send email to Main /Haven Street businesses giving them
1" shot at spaces in front of their businesses with a registration deadline. If
businesses have not registered by deadline, spaces will be open to vendors
• Municipal depts. do not have to pay for booths
