M. abstaining. General Proposal that Bob McLaughlin consider taking the position of vice chair. Proposed by E. B., second by K. H.. Unanimous 5 -0 vote. Submitted by Suzy Axelson. $200.00 for Application: Under Preservation Trust, Centennial Celebration and Reading Steeple and E. B. will The Reading Steeple Stroll, the printing of the booklet. Bell Tower follow up with Steeple & Bell Preservation Town Clerk/ Preservation E. B. made a motion to fund. Fund Treasurer Fund: regarding Preservation Second by K H. release of Trust funds. (See attached) Request for funding up to $7500 for the repair, restoration and /or stabilizing of gravestones of Civil War veterans at Laurel Hill Cemetery. (MA Sesquicentennial Commission — Matching Funds Grant). Pictures of gravestones provided by Historical Commission. Discussion: Variations of levels of repair needed. KH: Application: Pp Assuming that full amount will be required. E.B. will write Reading Historical B. M makes a motion that we fund up to $7500 for the letter to MA Commission purpose of restoration and repair of Civil War Sesqui- centennial Trust gravestones. Commission. Second by R.R, Caveat: The funding will not be released until after the final bids have been determined and the amount of donations have been established. The funding will be released up to but not exceeding $7500. Motion approved by unanimous vote 5 -0. Vote to authorize E.B. to write a commitment letter on behalf of the Committee stating the availability of funds. Explanation of Budget Report by E. B.. Copies of Initial Budget Sheets letters (dated 10/26/94). Review of Reading's 350th Anniversary Celebrations Trust document. Town of Reading website includes a Celebration page. 350`h website The committee will discuss in the future what to have on the page. Complication notifying committee members of potential meeting dates. Tentative meeting April 29th at 7:OOpm. Other K. H.: RMLD did not post open application, Reading Chronicle posted multiple times, not sure about Reaching Advocate or RCTV. K. H.: Possible future project War Memorial: to add conflicts since Vietnam War.
