Meeting called to order at 7.03 p.m.

Financial Report (R. Urell)
The current expenditures are on target.
Building Program (R. Urell)
Financial Update Ruth Urell reviewed new Library Building Program cost estimate changes. Updated
estimates reflect 2 years of inflation and economic changes, as well as recommended adjustments to
contingency fees and temporary relocation costs. The Trustees reviewed project bidding and selection
procedures and discussed recommendations for presentation for FINCOM scheduled for Wednesday,
January 9, 2013.
Temporary Space Options Trustees discussed location options and had no objections to including
locations outside Reading. Ruth Urell presented basic location, cost and build out options that have
been considered to date.
Andrew Grimes and Alice Collins convened a meeting to discuss strategy and planning going
forward. Ruth Urell and Kathy Miksis (Promotional Services Librarian) and eight (8) community
members attended.
Trustee Liaison's Reports
Foundation (R. Curtis) The Foundation will be supporting non - construction costs. Mention two
donations and upcoming meeting.
Friends C. Dubois) The Friends are planning another Mini Golf event for Saturday, April 6, 2013.
Director's Report
Ruth Urell reported that she is currently working on the explanations for the FY2014 Budget. She
thanked the Trustees, specifically David Hutchinson and Andrew Grimes, for their efforts in favor of
salary increases for the library staff.
