Teacher Report: Lauren Luskin
• Teachers have been working on Common Core implementation
• Teacher Evaluation system was a part of the work of this afternoon for teachers
• Review of the Lockdown Drill Procedure and student responses
Security Update:
• There will be a lockdown drill this month in all schools in the district.
• Continual checks and improvements on the functionality of our security systems and procedures
Budget Update:
• School Committee dates for the budget — January 10th, 14th, 17th and 24th — public input is encouraged
• 4.74% increase
Curriculum Update:
• Math teachers have been working with Coolidge teachers to revamp and refine the curriculum to be
ready for full implementation during the 2012 -2013 school year.
• Steve Leinwand will be working with Math teachers in February.
• The high school sequence will be released with the course catalog
• ELA teachers have not met as regularly in the last several months as the math team but in the building,
teachers have been realigning curriculum and working on incorporating the components
