HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-05-14 Planning Board Minutes, M READING PLANNING BOARD Minutes of May 14, 1986 PRESENT: M. Rich, Chairman; J. Wood, Clerk; T. Stohlman; G. Wood; M. Carriere, Administrative Assistant; C. Catalfamo, FinCom Meeting convened at 7:30 PM in the Planning Board office, 6 Lowell Street. MINUTES Minutes of April 22, 1986 were approved. VOTED 4 -0 -0. BILLS Bills totaling $47.50 were signed. OTHER 1. Rivers - "Community Center" - Site Plan Review will be held on May 28, 1986. Board members received copies of the plans for review. 2. Rivers - "Ace Art" - 24 Gould Street - Sketches were presented with an application for Site Plan Review. The filing was rejected and returned to the applicant because the plans had not been prepared by an engineer or architect, as specified in the Plan- ning Board's Procedures for Site Plan Review Application, nor did they contain the information requested in the procedures. 3. Town Government Restructuring - Neither the Planning Board nor its staff has been contacted regarding the transition. 4. Criterion Road -The developer's attorney met with the Board of Survey approximately one week ago. Mrs. Rich had been una- ble to receive confirmation of this meeting and so did not attend. She had, however, previously instructed the attorney that he should approach the Planning Board only after Board of Survey conditions had been met. 5. Keramds, Willow Street - Board members briefly discussed this Board of Appeals case which involves crossing a floodplain. SITE PLAN REVIEW - WINGATE PROPERTIES INC. PROPOSED NURSING HOME NORTH MAIN STREET (ASSESSORS MAP 224 LOT 5) The taped hearing was opened at 8:00 PM. Following Attorney Latham's presentation of the project Mrs. Rich read letters of posi- tion from the various boards into the record. Board members discussed various aspects of the plans , then heard testimony from an interested citizen. Minutes of May 14, 1986 Page 2 The Site Plan Review of this project was unanimously accepted.
