J. Feudo asked the committee to each introduce themselves. The committee appointed Valerie Sachetta as committee secretary and minute taker. J. Bonazoli did an overview of the Ma. Meeting Laws and Roberts Rules Guidelines were distributed. The committee reviewed the charge given by the Board of Selectmen. J. Feudo stated that the Town has programmed $45,000 for FYI (July 1, 2012) for a new playground at the park. It is important to have a comprehensive plan in place before placing such a large amount of money into a playground. He asked the committee to look at the land as a open palate. D. Walsh mentioned that when he does master planning he recommends that you do it with a million dollar budget, so there are no limitations. The committee appointed Leslie McGonagle as the chairperson for the Ad Hoc committee. The committee review the othro- photos of the park and began to generate ideas. J. Feudo stated that if there are safety issues, they should be resolved immediately and not wait for the planning process to be completed. G. Katsoufis recommended breaking the planning up into three categories; systems, natural environment and Usage Issue. Some of the issues that were identified were the tall grass in the skating area, additional need for trash barrels (with covers if possible), tree issues in left field, dog waste and the playground being too close to the roadway. Dave Walsh and George Katsoufis mentioned that they would be willing to work together to do a site analysis. F. Driscoll and J. Feudo said they would research the deed of the park and see that we are able to respect the donor's wishes. The committee decided to have their next meeting as a site walk. It will be scheduled for May 17'h at 6:30 PM. J. Feudo will post it. The following meeting will be June 7th at Town Hall. J. Bonazoli made a motion to adjourn. F. Driscoll seconded the motion. Motion passes in favor of adjournment 7 -0 -0. Meeting adjourned at 8:12 PM.
