Application for Certificate -150 West Street
Mr. Blodgett talked to the applicants about the process of the Commission. The house was built in 1940; just at
70 years old. The applicants would like to reroof the front of the house. They left what type and color up to the
contractor; they just wanted to match the back. The back of the house was done when the addition was put on.
The contractor submitted with the building application a brochure stating he will be using Tamko shingles. The
Commission discussed what options they had and if they could issue a Certificate of Non - Applicability. The
homeowners let the Commission know the Realtor never mentioned the W SHDC when they bought the house.
Motion made by Ms. Bornstein to issue a Cerd)7cate of Non Applicability under 7.3.9.3, Exclusions:
Maintenance for the property at ISO West Street Ms. Poeher seconded Vote was 4 -0.0.
Mr. Blodgett will issue the Certificate of Non - Applicability. He will bring to the Town Hall and post it with the
Town Clerk. The homeowner can pick up the building permit in the afternoon.
Motion made by Ms. Adams to accept the amended October 22, 2012 meeting minutes. Ms. Bornstein
seconded Vote was 4-0-0.
The Commission talked about new members. Mr. Blodgett will ask Mr. Schubert if he is interested in becoming a
member. The Commission discussed the need to have associate members. Maybe the Selectmen will need to
appoint someone.
Mr. Blodgett brought up a previous discussion on having an automatic procedure for applications. He didn't
know if the Commission had the provisions to do this. How emailing won't work; this would be a violation of the
Open Meeting Laws.
Motion made by Ms. Bornstein to adjourn at 7:35 p.m. Ms. Poehler seconded Vote was 4 -0-0.
Respectfully Submitted,
Kim Saunders
Recording Secretary
