Mission /Vision definitions were shared:
o Mission should be able to be articulated by any stakeholder in the
community.
o Vision is where we want to get to in three to five years.
o Vision should be measureable.
School Goal # 1 is partially met through finalizing this draft.
Final version of School Improvement Plan was approved by School Committee.
On Thursday, at the staff meeting, Mrs. Giles will review the action steps to get a
baseline as to where we are in meeting our school goals. It is anticipated that we
are at least half -way there. Additionally, at this staff meeting, staff will break out
into small groups to work in PLC's on all three goals.
Discussion about ' ?he Principal's Coffee ":
Majority of conversation was centered on drive and drop lane. Parents are
noticing rule- breaking and looking for ways to ensure that all community
members are accountable for this safety rule.
Suggestion was made to change the time of the coffee to allow for all families to
attend (morning /afternoon).
Auction on February 10th:
Decision was made to not auction student art work as it is part of their
curriculum.
Grade levels and teachers are working to submit outings and /or objects for the
silent auction with the help of their respective room parents.
Mary Gilligan is coordinating room parents and Dena Taylor is coordinating the
auction.
Staff may be adding a "Late Night at Killam" auction item that will take place in
the spring. j 'I,,
