IN ATTENDANCE: BOARD OF ASSESSORS TEL.: 781 - 942 -9027 FAX: 781 - 942 -9037 MR. RALPH A. COLORUSSO, MR. FRED A. MCGRANE, MR. ROBERT J. QUINN, MR. ROBERT I. NORDSTRAND, MR. WILLIAM BOATWRIGHT AND MS. PAT SULLIVAN (LEFT @ 8:30PM). 1. APPOINTMENTS: - NONE NOTED. 2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING /S: FEBRUARY 28, 2012 - VOTED 2 -0 TO APPROVE AS AMENDED 3. TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT: MR. BOATWRIGHT BRIEFED THE BOARD AS WELL AS DISTRIBUTED COPIES OF THE RFP FOR THE DATA VERIFICATION OF ALL REAL PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF READING. ,SIGNIFICANT DISCUSSION ENSUED REGARDING THE LANGUAGE IN THE RFP. THE DATES FOR COMPLETION WERE AMENDED TO REFLECT THE FACT THAT ONE -THIRD OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF PARCELS SB COMPLETED IN EACH OF THE THREE YEARS. MINUTES CONTINUED 3. TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT: (CON'T) MR. BOATWRIGHT INFORMED THE BOARD THAT ONE GENERAL WAY (THE MARKET BASKET PARCEL) HAS WITHDRAWN ITS APPLICATION FOR A PENDING TAX APPEAL FOR FY2011 AND THE FY2012 ABATEMENT. MR. BOATWRIGHT BRIEFED THE BOARD ON THE RECENT DECISION OF THE MASSACHUSETTS APPEALS COURT REGARDING THE TAX IMPLICATIONS ON PROJECTS CURRENTLY BEING DEVELOPED. HE SHARED WITH THE BOARD AN E -MAIL WHICH MEMORIALIZED THE ISSUES REGARDING THE TAX IMPLICATIONS. 4. SIGNINGS: - WERE COMPLETED. 5. NEW BUSINESS: - THE BOARD EXECUTED A LETTER TO LAURA GEMME TO APPOINT MR. NORDSTRAND AS ASSISTANT ASSESSOR OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS. MR. COLORUSSO MADE A MOTION TO APPOINT MR. MCGRANE AS THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS. MR. QUINN SECONDED THE MOTION WHICH WAS APPROVED 2 -0 WITH MR. MCGRANE ABSTAINING. MR. COLORUSSO MADE A MOTION TO APPOINT MR. QUINN AS THE SECRETARY /CLERK OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS. MR. MCGRANE SECONDED THE MOTION WHICH WAS APPROVED 2 -0 WITH MR. QUINN ABSTAINING. MR. MCGRANE MADE A MOTION TO APPOINT MR. COLORUSSO AS VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS. MR. QUINN SECONDED THE MOTION WHICH WAS APPROVED 2 -0 WITH MR. COLORUSSO ABSTAINING. MINUTES CONTINUED 6. GENERAL BUSINESS: - NONE NOTED. 7.
