MEETING CONVENED AT 7:00 P.M.

MR. FRED A. MCGRANE AND MS. PAT SULLIVAN.
1.. APPOINTMENTS: -
STATE REP. JAMES DWYER, REPRESENTING HIMSELF AND
REP. BRADLEY JONES, A REPRESENTATIVE OF STATE
SENATOR KATHERINE CLARK'S OFFICE, BOTH OF WHOM
MADE FORMAL PRESENTATIONS IN RECOGNITION OF MR.
NORDSTRAND'S 43 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE.
2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING /S:
FEBRUARY 21, 2012 - VOTED 3 -0 TO APPROVE AS AMENDED
3. TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT:
MS. SULLIVAN REPORTED THAT THE ASSESSING DEPT HAS
COMPLETED APPROXIMATELY ONE -HALF OF THE
ABATEMENT APPLICATIONS.
SHE ALSO STATED THAT PATRIOT PROPERTIES IS
SCHEDULED TO COMMENCE THE INSTALLATION OF THE
NEW CAMA SYSTEM IN MARCH.

4. SIGNINGS: - WERE COMPLETED.
5. NEW BUSINESS: -
MR. MCGRANE MADE A MOTION TO APPOINT ROBERT
NORDSTRAND TO THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT ASSESSOR
UNDER CHAPTER 41 SECTION 25A OF MGL.
THE MOTION WAS SECONDED BY MR. COLORUSSO AND
WAS APPROVED 2 -0 WITH MR. NORDSTRAND ABSTAINING.
6. GENERAL BUSINESS: -
THE BOARD DISCUSSED THE PENDING MEETING WITH THE
HISTORICAL COMMISSION. THE GENERAL CONSENSUS
WAS THAT THE BOARD DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE
WITH THE REQUEST OF THE HISTORICAL COMMISSION,
BUT AGREED THAT MEETING WITH THE HISTORICAL
COMMISSION WILL HELP CLARIFY THE ISSUE.
THE MEETING WAS MOVED TO GRUMPY DOYLE'S TO
CELEBRATE MR. NORDSTRAND'S 43 YEARS OF SERVICE TO
THE TOWN OF READING.
