IN ATTENDANCE: BOA PRESENT: MR. FRED A. MCGRANE, MR. RALPH A. COLORUSSO AND MR. ROBERT J. QUINN,JR. BOA ABSENT: NONE. 1. APPOINTMENTS: - 7P.M. -MR. JEREMIAH J. MANFRA OF PEABODY,MA 8P.M.—MR. WILLIAM G. NASER OF NATICK,MA 2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING/S: APRIL 3, 2012 & APRIL 10, 2012—ROBERT J. QUINN,JR. READ ALOUD THE DRAFT MINUTES FOR THE APRIL 3 AND APRIL 10, 2012 MEETINGS. SOME MINOR CORRECTIONS WERE PROPOSED. FRED A. MCGRANE MOVED THAT THE MINUTES BE ACCEPTED AS AMENDED; SECONDED BY RALPH A. COLORUSSO. MOTION WAS APPROVED BY A 3-0-0 VOTE. V..' .MINUTES CONTINUED 3. INTERIM TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT: NONE. 4. SIGNINGS: - THE BOARD REVIEWED AND APPROVED ROUTINE MOTOR VEHICLE EXCISE TAX ABATEMENT REQUESTS AND CERTIFIED ABUTTERS LISTS. THE BOARD ALSO APPROVED EXEMPTION CERTIFICATES AND NOTICE OF DENIALS RELATIVE TO LAST WEEK'S DECISIONS. 5. NEW BUSINESS: - FRED A. MCGRANE REPORTED THAT HE HAS NOT HEARD ANYTHING MORE FROM THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN, PETER HECHENBLEIKNER OR BOB LELACHEUR WITH RESPECT TO THE MATTERS RAISED IN HIS (FRED A. MCGRANE'S) E-MAIL OF APRIL 4TH FRED A. MCGRANE PREPARED A LIST OF SIX ABATEMENT APPLICATIONS WHICH WERE PREVIOUSLY DENIED BY THE BOARD. ALL SIX APPLICATIONS PERTAIN TO INDIVIDUAL CONDOMINIUM UNITS OWNED BY THE DEVELOPER OF JOHNSON WOODS. IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT SOME OR ALL OF THESE UNITS MAY HAVE BEEN PURCHASED BY THE DEVELOPER PURSUANT TO THE EXERCISE OF HIS RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL. FRED A. MCGRANE WILL CONTACT THE DEVELOPER'S ATTORNEY AND REQUEST SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WITH RESPECT TO THESE SIX UNITS. THE BOARD HOPES TO TAKE THIS MATTER UP AT ITS NEXT MEETING. MINUTES CONTINUED 6. GENERAL BUSINESS: - THE BOARD INTERVIEWED TWO CANDIDATES FOR THE VACANT TOWN APPRAISER POSITION. THE CANDIDATES WERE QUESTIONED EXTENSIVELY ABOUT THEIR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CAREER PATH, PAST AND FUTURE. RALPH A. COLORUSSO ADVISED THE BOARD THAT TWO MORE RESUMES HAVE BEEN RECEIVED, BRINGING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF CANDIDATES UP TO ELEVEN. FRED A. MCGRANE WOULD LIKE TO INTERVIEW TWO MORE CANDIDATES. RALPH A. COLORUSSO WILL ASK CAROL ROBERTS TO SCHEDULE ADDITIONAL INTERVIEWS FOR OUR NEXT MEETING. 7. CORRESPONDENCE: - RESUMES OF JEREMIAH J. MANFRA AND WILLIAM G. NASER. 8.
