LOUANIS WATER TREATMENT PLANT
1. No door latches on doors to Ferric Chloride transfer pump room and
double door to Central Control Panel area.
2. Ventilation System for the Chlorine Dioxide Room.
3. Many hose clamps and metal items have corroded on the Chlorine
Dioxide Room.
4. Aerated water sample pump needs repair.
5. Hydrofluosilic Acid Room - pulsation dampener needs repair;
three (3) more leaks still exist.
6. Pressure gauges throughout the plant - some 1) do not work;
2) record incorrectly; or 3) have been removed. (Need a detailed
list) .
7. Pinch valves - only four (4) have been replaced; 8 need replacing
8. Central Control Panel - Head loss indicators do not operate
9. Laboratory - Bausch & Lomb Spectronic 20 Unit has required an
unusual number of lamps in a short period of time.
10. Lime system is inoperable.
11. High Lift Pump #2 - Coupling between pump and motor has slipped
and needs to be repaired. (It is operable at
this time).

12. Leak on waste line at the doorway to the Lime Pump area.
13. Ammoniator Room - Unable to remove the glass tubes on the rotometers
for both flocculation basins.
14. Suction fan for fluoride room is noisy and vibrates considerably.
15. Fluoride Room light fixture above day tank does not operate
(appears to be a loose wiring problem)
16. Pressure relief valve on the acid pump in the Chlorine Dioxide
Room leaks.
17. Check valve at the fluoride injection point does not close properly.
18. Unable to determine any method to adjust fluoride feed pump on an
automatic operation.
