Present were Chairman Barker, Secretary Hampson, Board Member Polychrones and Superintendent A.V. Fletcher, P.E. On the motion of Mr. Polychrones, seconded by Mr. Hampson, 128 Ford was awarded the bid for Two (2) four door, six cylinder passenger vehicles. The motion was voted 3:0. Regarding the continued pole hearing on King Street, Supt. Fletcher explained that the Asst. Superintendent and Mr. Polychrones had met with the neighbors on the site and a compromise was reached that satisfied all the abuttors and the Reading Municipal Light Department. The Supt. presented the revised request and on the motion of Mr. Hampson, seconded by Mr. Polychrones, the Board approved 3:0 the petition No. 1591 of the R.M.L.D. dated November 16, 1984. Mr. Griffin joined the meeting at 7; 15 P.M. A discussion ensued under Article 2 regarding Mr. Hampson's proposed motions. Mrs. Wood joined the meeting at 7:20 P.M. The Board concensus was to see what direction Town Meeting took before deciding on which one of three motions would be presented. The Chairman asked for discussion and the Board concensus under Article 24 - Conservation Commission. After a short discussion, Mrs. Wood moved, Mr. Griffin seconded and the Board voted to support Conservation Commission Article 24 - 5:0. The Chairman asked for discussion of the motion under Article 25 having to do with Charter signatures.
