Minutes from the June 8, 2009 meeting were read. LH made a correction that $216 should read
$298.77. The amended minutes were approved.
MEMBERSHIP UPDATE: Review of roles: Vicky Schubert, chair; Lorraine Horn, treasurer;
Lynne Cassinari, secretary; Peggy Couette, Vice Chair. VS offered to check with the town hall
about age requirement because student member could be a full voting member. VS will inform
LC so that LC can contact guidance department at high school. The contact list will be updated
and shared. An explanation of basic training process was given.
TREASURER: LH explained that MCC is revising way account is done to streamline online.
She is required to meet with town accountant to review budget and log of transaction. 9/08 to
8/09 balance of $497.49 shown, interest is $236 (according to town) LH explained that we need
to decide how much to save as administration funds and how much to regrant. After much
discussion, it was determined that the balance of $497.49 should be added to the new allocation
of $4770 ($5267.49). 5% of our new allocation of $4770 is $238.50 which represents the amount
that MCC allows. The total of $5267.49 minus the allowed admin of $238.50 resulted in the
amount of $5028.99. It was suggested and agreed that we round up to $5030 for grants and
$237.49 for admin.
LH stated the deadline for submitting the form has changed and may have to send it snail mail to
meet the October 15th deadline. LH will wait to do step 2 form when system is up.

late November. Approved letter send mid January. VS submitted press release to the Chronicle,

on the front page of town website to link to RCC website.
