MEETING CALLED TO ORDER — 7:40 pm 2011 SEP 19 A 8i 31
MEMBERS PRESENT — Vicky Schubert, Lorraine Horn, Sudie Fay, Peggy Caouette, Lynne
Cassinari,
Minutes from the September 14, 2009 meeting were read. Correction made on spelling of Peggy
Caouette's name. The amended minutes were approved.
MEMBERSHIP UPDATE: Deborah Newmark is out of country and will miss the interview
meeting but hopes to participate in the future. November 2 is last opportunity to be appointed
before the interview and decision meetings in regards to Matt Conway (possible student member).
VS will check with town clerk on number of members chartered. Can we have more than 7? PC
will look at ending dates for each member of RCC.
TREASURER: LH reported Step Two Worksheet completed and funds allotted for admin.
4.97% as reflected by the worksheet. Available grant money is $5030 when $4770 was combined
with administrative overage of $260
GRANT APPLICATION DISTRIBUTION: Of the 19 applications submitted, 5 were ineligible
due to unscheduled program. The remaining 14 consisted of 5 music, 3 multidisciplinary, 2
literature, 1 theater, and 1 history. The committee reviewed the back -up material that was not
distributed in the application packets given to each member. The interview meeting was set for
November 9 at 7:30 and VS will invite the applicants and create a schedule (or of presentation)
for the 9''' giving each applicant 5 minutes.
MEETING SCHEDULE: The following meeting schedule was determined. October 26,
2009,November 9, 2009, November 16, 2009, January 11, 2010, February 8, 2010, March 8,
2010, April 12, 2010
OTHER ANTICIPATED ACTIVITIES FOR COMING YEAR: VS pointed out that the Gold
Star awards are not particularly aimed at the underserved and recommended that we should be
aware of the Gold Star as an option.
