IN ATTENDANCE:
MR. RALPH A. COLORUSSO, MR. ROBERT I. NORDSTRAND,
MR. FRED A. MCGRANE AND MR. WILLIAM BOATWRIGHT.
1. APPOINTMENTS: - NONE NOTED.
2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING /S:
AUGUST 30,2011 - APPROVED 3 -0 AS AMENDED
3. TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT:
MR. BOATWRIGHT SOUGHT THE BOARD'S INPUT ON THE
ENFORCEMENT OF THE NEW STATE MANDATED
WATERCRAFT EXCISE TAX.
MR BOATWRIGHT BRIEFED THE BOARD ON THE STATUS
OF THE READING OVERSEAS VETERANS, INC'S
APPLICATION FOR ABATEMENT. HE DISTRIBUTED A COPY
OF AN EMAIL SUMMARIZING THE CURRENT STATUS.
MR BOATWRIGHT DISTRIBUTED A SHEET CONTAINING
ABATEMENT AND OVERLAY INFORMATION FOR THE
FISCAL YEARS 2004 THROUGH 2011. SIGNIFICANT
DISCUSSION ENSUED.

3. TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT: (CON'T)
MR. NORDSTRAND SUGGESTED THAT THE OVERLAY
ACCOUNT SHOULD BE IN THE RANGE OF $650,000 TO
$700,000 BASED ON THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THE
VARIOUS REPORTS REVIEWED AT TONIGHT'S MEETING. IT
WAS DECIDED THAT THE BOARD WOULD REVIEW THE
INFORMATION AND ATTEMPT TO DETERMINE A FINAL
FIGURE AT THE NEXT MEETING.
MR. MCGRANE OFFERED TO PREPARE A DRAFT OF A
LETTER DETAILING THE DOLLAR AMOUNT OF THE
OVERLAY ACCOUNT. IT WAS DECIDED THAT SUCH A
LETTER SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO THE FOLLOWING
INDIVIDUALS:
THE TOWN MANGER
TOWN ACCOUNTANT
FINANCE DIRECTOR
CHAIR OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN
CHAIR OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE

6. GENERAL BUSINESS: -
MR. COLORUSSO BRIEFED THE BOARD ON HIS
CONVERSATION WITH SELECTMAN RICK SCHUBERT ON
THE ISSUE OF POTENTIAL OPINION OF VALUE OF THE
VARIOUS PARCELS OWNED BY THE TOWN.
