Adjourned Tot+in Meeting March 26, 1951 <br />Amend Section IX by adding a new paragraph as follows: <br />2. In a Business "C" district no new building shall be con- <br />structed for dwelling purposes,, and no existing building shah, be <br />altered, enlarged, or extended for use for d,,:felling purposes. <br />Amend Section XII by striping out the second sentence of Para- <br />graph 1 and inserting in place thereof the following sentence <br />In Business "A" and Business "C" districts no part of a build <br />ing shall extend nearer the street line on the frontage street than <br />fifty (50) feet, nor nearer any other street line than twenty (20) <br />feet. <br />153 In favor <br />0 Opposed <br />Article 19. On Motion of A. Lloyd David, it was voted to 'cafe <br />Article 19 From the table. <br />Article 19. On motion of A. Lloyd David, it was voted that the <br />sum of t-i-,ienty-five thousand dollar 25,000.) be appropriated from. <br />Surplus Revenue, that the said sure be transferred to the Stabiliza- <br />tion 'Fund established by authority of Section 5B of Chapter 40 of <br />the General Laws and t t the Town Accountant be and hereby is <br />authorized and instructed to transfer said sum to carry out the pur- <br />pose of this vote. <br />Article 38. On motion of Kenneth C. Latham, it was voted that <br />the sure of One Hundred (100) Dollars be raised and appropriated under <br />the provisions of Section 40 to 45 of Chapter 128 of the General <br />Laws, and that the Board of Selectmen be and they hereby are author- <br />ized to appoint a Director to cooperate with the T1iddlesex County <br />Trustees for the County Aid to Agriculture and work of the Middlesex <br />County Extension Service and the 4-H Clubs. <br />Article; 39. On motion of Kenneth C. Latham, it was voted that <br />'the sun, of Four Hundred (400.00) Dollars be raised and appropriated <br />n..,._{ for Child Welfare Work, to be expended under the direction of the <br />1 Reading Visiting Nurse Association and the Board of Health. <br />Article 40. On motion of Charles R. Bai.sley it was voted that <br />the Board of Health be and they hereby are authorized and empowered <br />to enter into a contract for the collection and disposal of garbage <br />for a, term, of three years and upon such other terns and conditions <br />as they may determine, and that the sum of Sixty-five Hundred (6500) <br />Dollars be raised and appropriated therefor covering the year 1951 <br />Article 2. On motion of Charles E. Wilkinson it was voted to <br />take Article 2 from the table. <br />Article 2. On motion of Charles E. Wilkinson it was voted that <br />Article 2 be indefinitely postponed. <br />Article 3. On motion of Charles E. Wilkinson it was voted to <br />take Article 3 from the table. <br />Article 3. On motion of Charles E. Wilkinson it was voted that <br />Article 3 by indefinitely postponed. <br />Article 4. On motion of Charles E. Wilkinson it was voted to <br />take Article 4 from the table. <br />Article 4. On motion of Charles E.
