Reading Town Hall, Berger Room, and 16 <br /> Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, James J. Nugent, Chairman, Colleen Seferian and <br /> Barbara Meade and staff liaison Jane Fiore, Health Services Administrator were present. <br /> The minutes of the September 12, 2002 were accepted as read. 3:0:0. - <br /> Next order of business: <br /> • Administrative report : <br /> • Safe and Drug Free schools grant discussed reduction to $13,434 <br /> • New clerical staff—Sam Ok working out well within the department. <br /> • Flu vaccine reduced by 15% -20%. We have gone from 2,000 doses to 1500 <br /> doses. The plan to strictly follow the Department of Public Health guidelines <br /> before administrating immunization. <br /> • Meeting adjourned <br /> • Public Hearing regarding Dumpster regulations called to order at <br /> 6:10 P.M. <br /> • 6 written comments regarding the Dumpster regulation change read into <br /> minutes. <br /> • 3 individuals offered opinion to the Board of Health regarding the regulation <br /> change. <br /> • Regulation change a. fine from$50 to 100 not objection by public <br /> b. Annual permits- $100/yearly and$30/temporary <br /> Input from public too high,too costly <br /> • The Board thanked all those present, Brian Catalano, Reading Car Care fee <br /> too high should have to just fence in the Dumpster. Kevin Brown,Auto <br /> repair,has only dry trash would have increase in number of pickups before <br /> wanting to pay permit fee. And noted their opinions would be taken under <br /> advisement. <br /> • Public Hearing adjourned at 6:40 p.m. (3:0:0) <br /> Board of Health meeting called to order to complete business <br /> • Continued discussion regarding the dumpster <br /> • Review regulations again and continue to discuss need to have dry or wet <br /> Dumpster regulations I permits. <br />
