T. cbJ t it - <br />- n <br />s{k <br />Board of Health Meeting s _4y '1 1 U <br />Minutes <br />January 8, 209 <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:05 P.M. Reading Town Hall, Berger Room, 16 <br />Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, Chairman, Colleen Seferian. Member present <br />Barbara Meade and staff liaison Jane Fiore, Health Services Administrator. David Singer <br />excused. <br />The minutes of the October 9, 2003 accepted 2:0:0. September 18, 2003, and December <br />11, 2003 minutes tabled. <br />Next order of business: <br />• Supervisor of water treatment plant, sanitation program from chlorine to chloramines <br />time tabled reviewed. Mailing 1/12 mailing, newspaper information 1/12 and 1/13. <br />1/21 Meeting Colleen Seferian and Jane Fiore will attend at 8 p.m. for public <br />informational meeting. <br />• The article on well decommission and drilling reviewed by the Board. All <br />information regarding wells and their installation will be sent to the Board in each <br />monthly meeting packet. <br />Administrative report : <br />• Cholesterol screening clinics planned for January and February for the general <br />public. <br />• January 20, 2004 - pneumonia clinic scheduled at the senior center. <br />• Program on Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act planned for <br />school nurses and public health nursed on February 25 10-12 at the Police <br />Station Community education Room. Private schools, Stoneham and <br />Winchester invited. DPH attorneys will present program. <br />• Communicable disease update <br />• Housing continues to be a difficult issue. <br />Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Barbara Meade at 7:35 seconded by Colleen <br />Seferian and voted 2:0:0. <br />Next meeting February 12, 2004 <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Jane M.
