Reading Town Hall, Berger Room, 16 <br />Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, Chairman, Colleen Seferian and David Singer <br />staff liaison Jane Fiore, Health Services Administrator. <br />Barbara Meade excused. <br />The minutes of the June 10, 2004 accepted with amendments <br />Next order of business: <br />• Bio-terrorism coalition update Conference in Denver discussed. <br />• Discussion regarding September 9, 2004 Water Treatment tour. Board will meet at <br />Plant off of Strout Avenue for a brief meeting. If plans for 1503 Main Street septic <br />system submitted BOH will be notified. To meet at Town Hall at 6 pm. Other wise <br />we will meet at 6:15 at Treatment plant at 6:15 pm for brief meeting prior to tour. <br />Administrative Report: <br />• Interim Public Health Nurse last day August 17, 2004. Carol Fiocco has been of <br />great assistance only working 12 hours per week covering vaccine distribution <br />and communicable disease investigation. Temporary nurse will be hired for 10-12 <br />hours per week. <br />• Cholesterol clinics suspended for the summer months. <br />• Home Depot will open on August 18, 2004 BOH has received another invitation <br />to the "Board Cutting" at 6 pm. <br />• Mosquito spraying repeated due to large number of mosquitoes in West Street <br />.trap. <br />• Sealer of Weights'and Measures applied for and received a $40,000 grant.. <br />• Phase two at Home Depot discussed : Starbuck Coffee, Baer Sandwich shop, <br />Macaroni Grill, Linen and Things, Staples, Bank of America will be built. <br />• Chili's will open in September. 2, 2004. <br />• Movement is Life phot contest will be supported by the Board of Health. October <br />14 at reading Public Library sponsored by Reading Physical Therapy. <br />
