Finance Committee Appointment Committee Meeting <br />September 24, 1996 <br />The meeting convened at 6:45 p.m. in the Conference Room at Town Hall, Reading, <br />Massachusetts. Present were Town Moderator Paul Dustin, Selectmen Chairman George Hines, <br />FinCom Chairman Steve Blewitt, Bob Hilliard from the Chronicle, Bill Brown Town Meeting <br />Member, Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner. Also present were the following candidates for a <br />term on the Finance Committee expiring June 30, 1997: John Burke, Mark Chabra, Jim Francis, <br />Paul Kurker, Terrance McMan and Richard E. MacDonald. <br />The FinCom Appointment Committee interviewed all of the candidates present. The Town <br />Manager noted that Charles Peacock who was also a candidate was not able to be present this <br />evening. Following the interviews, on motion by Blewitt seconded by Hines the following names <br />were placed into nomination for a term on the Finance Committee expiring June 30, 1997: John <br />Burke, Mark Chabra, James Francis, Paul Kurker, Richard MacDonald, Terrance McMan. <br />Richard MacDonald received three votes and was appointed. On motion by Hines seconded by <br />Blewitt, the Fincom Appointment Committee adjourned at 7:30 p.m. by a vote of 3-0-0. <br />
