MINUTES OF AUDIT COMMITTEE MEETING ON February 16, 2000 <br />Treasurer's Office, Town Hall 7:00 p.m. <br />Present: Carol Grimm, chairman, Catherine Martin, Camille Anthony, Pete Dahl, <br />Fred Van Magness, and staff members Richard Foley and Beth Klepeis <br />The Audit Committee voted unanimously to accept the bid of Peat Marwick to <br />perform audits for the Town of Reading as follows: <br />Fiscal Year <br />2000 <br />2001 <br />2002 <br />Amount Bid <br />$40,500 <br />42,250 <br />44,250 <br />The only other bid which the Town received was from Deloitte & Touche as <br />follows: <br />Fiscal Year <br />2000 <br />2001 <br />2002 <br />Amount Bid <br />$59,360 <br />61,730 <br />64,200 <br />The Town has been satisfied with the work done by Peat Marwick in the past, <br />and since the only other bid was significantly higher, the Committee had little <br />discussion in selecting Peat Marwick to continue as the Town's audit for the next <br />three years. <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Eliza eth %W.Wepeislain"ance Director <br />
