SPECIAL TOWN MEETING <br />Reading Memorial High School <br />March 9,1998 <br />The meeting was called to order by the Moderator, Alan E. Foulds, at 7:42 p.m., there being a <br />quorum present. <br />The Invocation was given by Gail F. Wood, Precinct 2, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag. <br />The Warrant was partially read by the Town Clerk, Cheryl A. Johnson, when on motion by <br />Camille W. Anthony, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, it was voted to dispense with further <br />reading of the Warrant except for the Officer's Return, which was read by the Town Clerk. <br />ARTICLE 1 - On motion.by Camille W. Anthony, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, it was <br />moved that the subject matter of Article 1 be tabled. <br />ARTICLE 2 - On motion by William C. Brown, Precinct 8, it was moved that the Board of <br />Selectmen accept the bid related to the retail use of the landfill on Walkers Brook Road, for <br />consideration given, such acceptance shall be made on or before July 1, 1999. <br />Motion does not carry. <br />ARTICLE 2 - On motion by Camille W. Anthony, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, it was <br />moved that the subject matter of Article 2 be tabled. <br />ARTICLE 3 - On motion by George C. Hines, Precinct 5, it was voted to amend the FY 1998- <br />FY 2007 Capital Improvements Program as provided for in Section 7-7 of the Reading Home <br />Rule Charter by adopting the amended Capital Improvements Plan as included in the Warrant <br />report for the Special Town Meeting of March 9, 1998, pages 14-18. <br />ARTICLE 4 - On motion by W.
