Others Present: <br />John Coote, Nancy Twomey <br />Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Jacquelyn LaVerde <br />Topics of Discussion: <br />This meeting was held in-person in the Town Hall Conference Room and remotely via Zoom. <br />Chair Alan Foulds called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm. <br />Roll Call - All Present: Jackie McCarthy, Shawn Brandt, Alan Foulds. <br />Chair Alan Foulds noted that there are two terms on the Permanent Building Committee <br />(PBC) expiring on June 30th, and two incumbents seeking reappointment, both present this <br />evening. <br />Nancy Twomey and John Coote, incumbents on the Permanent Building Committee, agreed <br />that it Is a good committee. <br />Ms. Twomey stated that she is excited about the upcoming Killam School Building project, <br />and enjoys serving on the Committee. There Is a lot to do, and it is a great committee for <br />the town to have. <br />Mr. Coote stated that the Committee is a perfectly balanced team, with all disciplines <br />covered. Ms. Twomey echoed his sentiments and noted that the Committee is structured <br />well. <br />Mr. Brandt stated that his colleagues on the School Committee, who serve on the Killam <br />School Building Committee with the PBC, rave about Mr. Coote's and Ms. Twomey's <br />contributions, and that he agrees with their observations. <br />Jackie McCarthy thanked both Mr. Coote and Ms. Twomey for serving on the PBC and asked <br />what they thought some other priorities might be in the near term for the PBC. Ms. <br />Twomey stated that she is the liaison on the Symonds Way Exploratory Committee, and <br />that the cemetery building has always had issues. Mr. Coote stated that a new <br />senior/community center is in talks right now.
