Reading <br /> By virtue of this warrant, I, on November 16, 1957, notified and <br /> warned the inhabitants of the Town of Reading, qualified to vote in <br /> elections and town affairs, to meet in the place and at the time <br /> specified, by posting attested copies of this warrant in the follow- <br /> ing public places within the Town of .Reading: <br /> Precinct 1. Austin' s Lunch Room, 17 Harnden Street <br /> Central Fire Station, <br /> Police Headquarters <br /> Precinct 2. Masonic Temple Builds ng, <br /> M. F. Charles' Store, 610 Main Street <br /> Boston & Maine R. R. Depot <br /> 'Precinct 3. Keene' s Corner Store, 36 Mineral Street <br /> Quality Food Store, 168 Lowell Street <br /> Elden' s Store 206 West Street <br /> Precinct 4. Municipal Building <br /> Zitsow' s Store, 287 Lowell Street <br /> Cawleys Store 1051 Main Street <br /> The date of posting being more than seven days prior to November <br /> 25, 1957, the date set for the meeting in this warrant. <br /> I also caused an attested copy of this warrant to be published in <br /> the Reading Chronicle in the issue of November 14th the same being <br /> more than one day prior to the date of said meeting. <br /> (Signed) Arthur L. M. <br /> The warrant was partially read by the Town Clerk, when on motion <br /> of Lawrence Drew, it was voted to dispense with further reading of <br /> the warrant except the Constable' s Return which was then read by <br /> the Town Clerk. <br /> ARTICLE 1. The following report was read by Irving C. Austin. <br /> REPORT OF COMMITTEE on MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL <br /> At the regular Town Meeting $1,400.00 was appropriated to be <br /> spent by this Committee under direction of the School Committee <br /> !!! for proper lettering on the building and suitable tablet inside. <br /> With the help of Mr. Howard Clinch, all plans were completed so <br /> that the new High School was dedicated on Sunday afternoon, June 9, <br /> 1957, as The Reading Memorial High School, and a Scroll in honor of <br /> the boys of World Ward II and Korea unveiled by Mrs. Richard Cobb <br /> in the entrance lobby. <br /> The expenses were as follows: <br /> Cost of letters on tower installed $"0.00 <br /> Cost of flags and holders - 138.50 <br /> Cost off table under PSPccgroll 31.055 <br /> Cost of <br /> i ramisseScrollll IN <br /> C pPrAm�nB <br /> Coat o£ Tlowersson tible Cost of supervision `Janitors, etc) <br /> Total $1, 142.05 <br />
