Howard, <br /> at 8:00 P. i`. <br /> The warrant was partially read by the Town Clerk when on motion of <br /> Kenneth C . Lathan it was voted to dispense with further reading of the <br /> warrant, except the Constable ' s Return, rihich was then read by the <br /> Town Clerk. <br /> ARTICLE 1 . The following report was read by Robert G. Clinch. <br /> Report of Planning Eoard <br /> Your Planning Board had a public hearing in Room 19 of the 'Municipal <br /> Building on Lowell Street, Reading on Monday July 11, 1955 at 8:00 P.T4. <br /> under Authority of Scction 6 of Chapter 40A of the General Laws upon <br /> the proposed amendment to the zoning bylaw and zoning map, which would <br /> change the following area from an Al residence district to the indus- <br /> trial district. <br /> Peginning at the point of intersection of the center line of John <br /> Street and the center line of a private way known as Lakeview Avenue : <br /> -hence running in a Yortheasterly direction along the center line of <br /> said Lakeview (Private) Avenue, a distance of approximately three <br /> hundred forty (340) feet to an angle point in said center line; <br /> Thence turning and running in a more Easterly direction, still by said <br /> center line of Lakeview (Private ) Avenue, a distance of approximately <br /> five hundred forty-five (545) feet to a point where the extension of <br /> t'ae property division line between lots 89 anc 90 shown on Town of <br /> Reading Assessor' s Plat 47 meets t'ie center line of said Lakeview <br /> (Private ) Avenue; <br /> Thence turning and rurnin;^ in a Southwesterly direction still by said <br /> Lskeview (Private ) Avenue and along the division property line be- <br /> taeen s^.id Lots 89 and 90, a. distance of approximately two hundred <br /> thirty (230) feet 'uo to ,resent Industrial District; <br /> Thence '5esterly by the present Industrial District to tl:e center line <br /> of John Street ; <br /> Thence in a Northwesterly direction by the center line of John Street <br /> to the point of be^inning of this description. <br /> At this hearing several citizens and the representatives of interested <br /> Town Boards attended. All who spoke at the hearing were in favor of <br /> the change and we had no one recorded in opposition. <br /> Your Planning Poard believes that this change would be advisable , 'Xe <br /> feel that the general characteristics of this lot of land lends itself <br /> Ideally to an industrial development or_d a;c feel that Lultevla-rr .`.venue <br /> is a natural break between the residential and industrial zones. As <br /> you can see with reference to the zoning map this area is immediately <br /> adjacent to the nrecent industrial area.
