Regular Meeting of the School Committee - Executive Session 2011 FEB 2 3 P j: 3 1 Date: August 9, 2010 Place: Superintendent's Office School Committee Memhers Present Staff Memhers Present Chuck Robinson John Doherty, Superintendent Hal Croft David Michaud Chris Caruso I. Executive Session A. Call to Order 7:34 a.m. Chairperson Caruso called the Executive Session to order. Litigation Strategies Dr. Doherty updated the School Committee on the status of the Midland Fire Protection suit. He indicated that the School Committee needed to vote to authorize payment of the settlement to Midland Fire protection. Mr. Michaud asked if the payment is for work that has been completed. The Superintendent stated that all the work associated with this settlement has been completed and the district is in receipt of the as -built drawings. _Mr. Robinson moved, seconded by Mr. Croft, to authorize the Superintendent to authorize payment of the settlement to Midland Fire Protection in the amount of $25,971.84. Mr. Croft asked if the systems are up and running. The Superintendent stated that Mr. Huggins has verified that all is in order and the systems arc up and running. The roll call vote was 4-0. Mr. Caruso, Mr. Croft, Mr. Michaud and Mr. Robinson. Superintendent Doherty updated the committee on the status of the other litigations. He indicated that the services of the mediator that the parties had hoped to hire for the HVAC litigation is available. The cost for the mediator will be split 4 ways between, TLT, Harleysville, (Phoenix Sheet metal, Proline, Trane, Johnson Controls and Chapman) and Town, Ai -3, GGD and TDPC. Approval of Minutes Mr. Robinson moved, seconded by Mr. Michaud to approve the Executive Session minutes dated July 19, 2010 The roll call vote was 4-0. Mr. Caruso, Mr. Croft, Mr. Michaud and Mr. Robinson.
