Executive Session <br />A. Call to Order <br />7:34 a.m. <br />Chairperson Caruso called the Executive Session to order. <br />Litigation Strategies <br />Dr. Doherty updated the School Committee on the status of the Midland Fire Protection suit. He <br />indicated that the School Committee needed to vote to authorize payment of the settlement to <br />Midland Fire protection. <br />Mr. Michaud asked if the payment is for work that has been completed. The Superintendent <br />stated that all the work associated with this settlement has been completed and the district is in <br />receipt of the as -built drawings. <br />_Mr. Robinson moved, seconded by Mr. Croft, to authorize the Superintendent to authorize <br />payment of the settlement to Midland Fire Protection in the amount of $25,971.84. <br />Mr. Croft asked if the systems are up and running. The Superintendent stated that Mr. Huggins <br />has verified that all is in order and the systems arc up and running. <br />The roll call vote was 4-0. Mr. Caruso, Mr. Croft, Mr. Michaud and Mr. Robinson. <br />Superintendent Doherty updated the committee on the status of the other litigations. He <br />indicated that the services of the mediator that the parties had hoped to hire for the HVAC <br />litigation is available. The cost for the mediator will be split 4 ways between, TLT, Harleysville, <br />(Phoenix Sheet metal, Proline, Trane, Johnson Controls and Chapman) and Town, Ai -3, GGD <br />and TDPC. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Mr. Robinson moved, seconded by Mr. Michaud to approve the Executive Session minutes <br />dated July 19, 2010 The roll call vote was 4-0. Mr. Caruso, Mr. Croft, Mr. Michaud and <br />Mr. Robinson. <br />
