Municipal Building <br />Zitzow's Neighborhood Store, 287 Lowell St. <br />McLaughlin's Neighborhood Store, 1051 Main St. <br />The date.of posting being more than seven days prior to the <br />date set for the meeting in this warrant, and I caused an attested <br />copy of this Warrant to be published in the Reading Chronicle In <br />the issue of September 7. 1950, the date of publication being more <br />than one day prior to the date of meeting. - <br />HARRIS <br />Constable of Reading <br />SPECIAL TOWN MEETING <br />Shepardson Hall, Junior High School September 11, 1950 <br />The meeting was called to order by the Moderator, Charles P. <br />Howard, at 8:15 p.m. <br />The warrant was partially read by the Town Clerk, when on motion <br />of Kenneth C. Latham, it was voted to dispense with further reading <br />of the warrant, except the Constable's Return, which was then read <br />by the Town Clark. <br />Article 1. on motion of Kenneth C. Latham it was voted that <br />the Moderator be and he hereby is authorized and empowered to ap- <br />point a Committee of five to make a study for a suitable memorial <br />for World War II Veterans and survey of the location in the Town <br />therefor, such Committee to report at the Annual Town Meeting to <br />be held in March, 1951. <br />Article 1. On motion of James E. Calvin It was voted that <br />the following report be placed on file: <br />REPORT OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO THE SPECIAL TOWN <br />MEETING OF SEPT. 11, 1950, RELATIVE TO THE WATER SYSTEM <br />In preparing a report to the Town Meeting, the Board of Pub- <br />lic Works decided that the best possible report would be to submit <br />to the Town Meeting a substantial part of the report of the Con- <br />sulting Engineers which follows herewith: <br />
