T 0 W N W A R R A N T <br />(SEAL) <br />Commonwealth of Massachusetts <br />Middlesex, ss. <br />To either of the Constables of the Town of Reading, greeting: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby required to <br />notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Readingo qualified <br />to vote in elections and town. affairs, to meet in Shepardson Hall, <br />Junior High School, Temple Street, in said Reading, on <br />MONDAY., THE ELEVENTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1950 <br />at seven forty-five o'clock In the evening, to act on the following <br />articles: <br />Article 1. To hear and act on the reports of Town Officers <br />and special committees and determine what instructions will be <br />given Town Officers and special committees. <br />Article 2. To see what sum the Town will raise and appropriate <br />by borrowing or otherwise for the purpose of laying and relaying <br />water mains of not less than six inches but less than sixteen inches <br />in diameter and for the development of additional well fields, in- <br />cluding wells# pipes, and original pumping station equipment, and <br />to authorize the Board of Public Works to construct said works and <br />contract with respect thereto and to authorize the Treasurer with <br />the approval of the Selectmen to borrow such sums as may be neces- <br />sary to meet any appropriation made therefor and to use any other <br />available funds or appropriation for that purpose, or what it will <br />do in relation thereto. <br />Board of Public Works <br />Article 3. To see what sum the Town will raise and appropri- <br />ate by borrowing or otherwise for the purpose of constructing a <br />standpipe and to authorize the Board of Public Works to construct <br />said works and structures and contract with respect thereto and to <br />authorize the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen to borrow <br />such sums as may be necessary to meet any appropriation made there- <br />for and to use any other available funds or appropriation for that <br />purpose, or what it will do in relation thereto. <br />Board of Public Works <br />And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting an at- <br />tested copy thereof in at least three public places in each pre- <br />cinct of the Town, not less than seven days prior to September 11, <br />1950, the date set for the meeting in said Warrant, and to publish <br />this Warrant in the Reading Chronicle, one day at least prior to <br />said date. <br />Hereof fail not and make due return of this, arrant with your <br />doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at or before the time appointed <br />for said meeting. <br />Given under our hands this twenty-eighth day of August, 1950. <br />A True Copy.
