SUBSEQUENT TOWN MEETING <br />Reading Memorial High School <br />Preforming Arts Center <br />November 12, 2013 <br />the Precincts listed below met at 7:00 PM to conduct the following business: <br />Precinct 1: With a Quorum present elected Carol Hepner of 427 Pearl Street to fill a vacancy. <br />Precinct 2: With a Quorum present elected Susan Taylor of 76 Pearl Street to fill a vacancy. <br />The meeting was called to order by the Moderator, Alan E Foulds, at 7:31 PM, there being a quorum <br />present. The Invocation was given by Philip Pacino, Precinct 5 followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. A moment of silence was shared for Rita Burbank, Richard Curtis and Harold Hulse. <br />The Warrant was partially read by the Town Clerk, Laura Gemme, when on motion by James Bonazoli, <br />Board of Selectmen, it was voted to dispense with further reading of the Warrant. <br />ARTICLE 1: To hear and act on the reports of the Board of Selectmen, Town Accountant, <br />Treasurer - Collector, Board of Assessors, Director of Public Works, Town Clerk, Tree Warden, Board of <br />Health, School Committee, Contributory Retirement Board, Library Trustees, Municipal Light Board, <br />Finance Committee, Cemetery Trustees, Community Planning and Development Commission, Town <br />Manager and any other Official, Board or Special Committee. <br />Background: This article appears on the Warrant for all Town Meetings. The following reports were <br />given: <br />' State of RMLD - given by Coleen O'Brien and John Stempeck - See Attached <br />State of the Schools - given by John Doherty - See Attached <br />Library Building Project - given by David Hutchinson - See Attached <br />ad Hoc Charter Review Committee - given by Alan Foulds - See Attached <br />Finance Committee Report: No report <br />Bylaw Committee Report: No report <br />On motion made by James Bonazoli, Board of Selectmen Article 1 was tabled <br />ARTICLE 2: To choose all other necessary Town Officers and Special Committees and determine <br />what instructions shall be given Town Officers and Special Committees, and to see what sum the Town will <br />vote to appropriate by borrowing or transfer from available funds, or otherwise, for the purpose of funding <br />Town Officers and Special Committees to carry out the instructions given to them. <br />Background: This Article appears on the Warrant of all Town Meetings. There are no known <br />Instructional Motions at this time. The Town Moderator requires that all proposed Instructional Motions be <br />submitted to the Town Clerk in advance so that Town Meeting Members may be "warned" as to the <br />subject of an Instructional Motion in advance of the motion being made.
