BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />November 13, 2012 <br />The meeting of the Reading Board of Health came to order at 5:40 pm in the Berger <br />Conference Room of Reading Town Hall. Present were Board members Barbara Meade, <br />David Singer, Andrew Friedmann and staff Ruth Clay. <br />Health Director's Report <br />• Clay reported that all purchased flu vaccine had been administered including 3 <br />from Melrose for a total of 1219 shots. <br />Oye's — Friedmann voiced concern after reviewing the final inspection report <br />received from the consultant. The next scheduled inspection is in February. At <br />that time an update will be provided and if further action needs to be taken. <br />Other business and items not reasonably anticipated at the time of posting: <br />• A joint meeting with the Boards of Melrose, Wakefield and Reading has been <br />scheduled for December 4`" at 7:15 in the Mayor's Conference Room at Melrose <br />City Hall. Maureen Buzby, Tobacco Control Coordinator will attend and give an <br />update on the tobacco grant, accomplishments of its first year and what can be <br />expected in the future. <br />• A review of the draft keeping of animal regulation began. Due to time constraints <br />it was not completed and the review process will continue at the next scheduled <br />meeting. <br />• Due to time constraints because of town meeting the draft minutes of October 16, <br />2012 were not reviewed and will be placed on agenda for next scheduled meeting. <br />Materials distributed: <br />Agenda <br />Draft minutes of October 16, 2012 <br />Health Director's Report <br />Flu Clinic Update <br />Oye's inspection update <br />Draft Animal Regulations <br />BOH Regulations from Somerville for Animals, Hens, Bees <br />Email regarding review of animal regulation <br />
