77 s <br />The Reading Retirement Board held a meeting on OCTOBER 24, 2001, in the Accounting and Finance Department <br />Office, Town Hall, Reading, Massachusetts. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. <br />Minutes from the August 29, 2001 meeting were read and accepted. <br />Minutes from the September 26, 2001 meeting were read and accepted <br />Approved new membership: <br />Vaughan Bryan Station Operator 9/24/01 9% <br />Karen DeAngelis Retirement Bd. Adm. /Asst. Town Acct 10/22/01 9% <br />Reviewed and approved the following vouchers: <br />2001 Voucher # 70 Town of Reading Treasurer $ 384,737.70 retiree payroll <br />71 Town of Reading Treasurer $ 621.89 Oct Admin. salary <br />72 Town of Reading Treasurer $ 1,214.50 Advertising <br />73 Corporate Express $ 83.93 Calculator 67 <br />PERAC's Disability Unit has evaluated Charles Johnson for possible return to service pursuant to Massachusetts <br />General Laws, chapter. 32, section 8. The Comprehensive Medical Evaluation (CME) physician evaluator <br />determined that this retiree is able to perform the essential duties of his job. <br />PERAC has confirmed receipt of the completed 2000 Annual Statement of Earnings from Chester M. Thurston, <br />whose name had appeared on the list previously sent to the Reading Retirement Board, pursuant to Massachusetts <br />General Laws, chapter 32, section 91 A. No further action is needed at this time. <br />PERAC has included in their records the accidental death benefit of $6,000 a year, payable under Section 101 of <br />chapter 32 of the general laws, to Joan DeSano, spouse of Robert B. DeSano, who died September 22, 2001. <br />Gerald Powers has requested reinstatement of his medical insurance.
