773 <br />The Reading Retirement Board held a meeting on OCTOBER 5, 2001, in the Accounting and Finance Deparnnent <br />Office, Town Hall, Reading, Massachusetts. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 A.M. <br />This meeting was called to vote on the survivor benefits for accidental disability retiree Robert B. DeSano <br />Robert B. DeSano passed away on September 22, 2001 due to esophageal cancer. He retired on October 3, 1991 <br />under an accidental disability due to chronic low back pain with underlying degenerative arthritis. <br />Based on the Board's review of Mr. DeSano's medical records and death certificate they found his death not to be the <br />natural and proximate result of the injury which was the basis of his accidental disability. Thus his spouse, Joan <br />DeSano, will be due $6,000 per year for a Section 101 allowance. <br />Information regarding Joan DeSano's benefit will be sent to PERAC for approval <br />The members of the Reading Retirement Board also voted to appoint Karen DeAngelis to the postion of Retirement <br />Board Administrator /Assistant Town Accountant. <br />Meeting adjourned 9:00 A.M. <br />Present: Boissoneau, Foley, Klepeis, and Veno. <br />Henry J. 34so eau, I" elected <br />i <br />Ri hazd P.
