B MINUTES May 12,2011 X11 NOV -5 PM 5: 16 The Board of Health(BOH)meeting was called to order on May l2,2011 at 5:36 pm in the Berger Room,Town Hall,by Barbara Meade, Chair. Those present at the meeting were,Dr. David Singer and Colleen Seferian. Larry Ramdin,Health Director,(Public Health Administrator)/Staff Liaison. In attendance: Nancy Twomey,David Kardos,Ron Beauregard,D.J. Wilson,Peter Hechenbleilmer,Erica McNamara,Ben Hitchcock,Ashley Testa,Julianne DeAngelis, Joan Vitale,Darlene Foley Variance Request Nancy Twomey,Twomey Design is requesting a variance for LJH 159 Haven Street LLC regarding 159 Haven Street,Reading,MA 01867 petitioning the Board of Health to support an application to vary the requirements of the state plumbing code pursuant MGL c142 sl 3. The Board was advised that the variance seeks to reduce the number of bathrooms in the facility. Larry Ramdin advised he has reviewed the application and recommends that the Board support the application. The Board voted 3:0:0 to approve the petition. New License Application David Kardos,d/b/a Davis Square has submitted an application for a catering license where he would be utilizing the facilities at the First Congregational Church of Reading. The application was reviewed and the Board voted 3:0:0 to approve the license. RCASA Youth Crew Members of RCASA gave a presentation regarding the removal of tobacco sales from Reading pharmacies.Erica McNamara will provide a copy of the non-binding resolution that RCASA youth proposed for Board of Health support. - Administrative Report The Health Administrator presented the Department report and it was accepted 3:0:0.
