Residents were asked to sign in and were given a copy of the <br />inventory sheet for their property. KG summarized the expansion project. <br />• VA moved that each of the one-hundred-one properties recently added to the. Historical and <br />Architectural Inventory of Reading, Massachusetts, and listed on the notice of this meeting <br />sent to Owners before September 12, 2010 be defined as a Potentially Significant Structure <br />under Section 5.13 of the General Bylaws of the Town of Reading. RS seconded. VA moved to <br />amend the motion by excluding 66 John Carver Road from the list of Potentially Significant Structures <br />as it was demolished in August, just days prior to being added to the Inventory.. Seconded by RS. 5- <br />0. VA moved to further amend the motion by temporarily excluding the following properties: 287 Ash <br />St., 145 High St., 494-496 Main St., 12 Manning St., 81 Mineral St. and 92 Prescott St. from the list of <br />Potentially Significant Structures, as these property owners did not receive timely notice of this <br />meeting according to the Bylaw. Seconded by AB. 5-0.. These properties have since received notices <br />and will be voted under the Bylaw at the November 9th meeting. <br />• Residents were asked for their input. Elaine Webb questioned how homes were assessed. VA <br />mentioned that assessments were done from the street side. RHC can only assess interior of <br />properties if invited in. Mr. Lundquist voiced his opposition to his property being added to the <br />inventory. Emile Hamway also voiced his concern about the lack of choice. Mr. Webb, although he <br />was glad that his home was added, objected to the process. It was asked if in the future the bylaw <br />could be revised to give homeowners the option to choose. Emile Hamway suggested changing the <br />process to solicit homeowners who would like to be added as opposed to deciding then notifying <br />homeowners. <br />• There was no further discussion to remove properties from the list of Potentially Significant Structures. <br />The vote on the main motion was taken and approved 5-0. <br />• Reviewed what is needed for Monday's event at RPL. RHC has the room reserved at 6 pm. Sign in <br />table place for refreshments, info table. <br />• VA moved to reimburse AB for printing of certificates for the sum of $17.86. RS seconded. 5-0 <br />• Each member will donate some food or beverage as refreshments for the ceremony, and should be <br />there to setup about 6:15 pm. <br />• MC will put photos with addresses into PowerPoint <br />• AB will print out certificates with names and dates for KG to sign. <br />• RS and VA will print out inventory sheets for the event at the Library <br />• 320 Haverhill St. site visit still needed within the next month.
