(TUM (LCRI~ <br />Town of Reading <br />ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />Minutes of August 19, 2010 <br />Members Present: Jeffrey Perkins, Acting Chairman <br />Robert Redfern <br />John Miles <br />Damase Caouette <br />Members Absent: Clark Petschek <br />John Jarema <br />~ ~ ~.i 1 !P{1 J J . <br />-0 9U Ob <br />A meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the <br />Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, at 7:00 P.M. Also in attendance was Glen <br />Redmond, Commissioner of Buildings, and Ellen Doucette, Town Counsel. <br />Case # 10-08 <br />A Public Hearing on the petition of Mark & Liz Richards who seek a Special Permit under <br />Section(s) 6.3 & 6.3.6 of the zoning bylaws in order to construct a two story addition and an <br />open deck on a non-conforming lot on the property located at 30 Harrison Street in Reading, <br />MA. <br />Mark Richards reviewed his proposal for the Board. It will violate the required side setback on <br />the right side. They are also appearing before the Conservation Commission. The Building <br />Inspector said this is a typical situation for a Special Permit and he did not have any problems <br />with it. <br />The Board Members had a few minor questions but thought it was an acceptable proposal. <br />On a motion by Damase Caouette, seconded by Robert Redfern, the Zoning Board of Appeals <br />moved to grant the Petitioner request for a Special Permit under Section 6.3.6 of the Zoning <br />Bylaws in order to permit the addition to the existing dwelling on a non-conforming lot on the <br />property as shown on the referenced Plot Plan of Land and architectural drawings. The Special <br />Permit was conditioned upon three conditions. <br />The vote was 4-0-0 (Perkins, Redfern, Miles, Caouette). <br />Case # 10-09 <br />r A Public Hearing on the petition of Richard Quaglia who seeks a Special Permit and a Variance <br />under Section(s) 6.3. /6.3.4 /6.3.6 of the zoning bylaws in order to construct an attached garage <br />to a non-conforming structure on a non-conforming lot as per plans submitted on the property <br />located at 20 Locust Street in Reading, MA <br />ZBA Meeting, August 19,.2010 1 <br />
