Council on Aging Board Meeting <br />Senior Center - Pearl Street School <br />September 18, 1989 <br />Present: Mary Andreola, Virginia Bizzaro, Lois Bond, Gladys <br />Cail, Frank Day, Dorothy Foxon, Ginny Lane, Fred <br />Perry-Patrons, Loretta Spaulding <br />Absent: Diane Guilfoyle, Linda Nordberg <br />Meeting was called to order at 5:31 P.M. by Chairperson Gladys <br />Cail at the Senior Center, Pearl Street School. <br />Minutes of the July and August meetings were accepted on a motion <br />by Ginny Lane and seconded by Mary Andreola. 7-0-0. <br />Treasurerls Report - none <br />Director's Report <br />Shopper's Assistance Grant was rewritten and resubmitted. MVES <br />set up a crisis stabilization fund making available to the Coun- <br />cils up to $3000 specifically for positions where salary is <br />being threatened. We should know by end of September if grant <br />has been approved for next round. <br />Auto Repair - By the time the next repair bill is received we <br />will have spent close to the limit for the year. <br />FY 189 Statistics were gone over. <br />Old Business <br />Fix-it and Knitting groups are going well. <br />Tea Dance Committee Fred Perry reported meeting went well. <br />The first Tea Dance will be Thursday, October 19, from 2:00 <br />4:00 P.M. at Peter Sanborn. It was voted 7-0-0 on a motion by <br />Loretta Spaulding and seconded by Frank Day that the $1.00 dona- <br />tion be maintained and rescind $1.50 as mentioned in July <br />minutes. <br />Peter Sanborn has agreed that the tea dances can be held there on <br />the third Thursday of each month. <br />
