Minutes of the Fifth Meeting of <br />Reading's 350th Anniversary Celebration Steering Committee <br />October 19, 1989, Thursday <br />Board Room <br />Reading Public Library <br />Committee Members Attending: <br />Edward Palmer, Shirley Buzderewicz, Susan Flannery, Alan <br />Foulds, Susan Horn, Paul Sweeney. [Everett Blodgett, Susan <br />Theophanis and Susan Wheltle were absent.] <br />Also Attending: <br />Arnold Berger, Ray Couture (legal counsel) <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />The Meeting was called to order by Ed Palmer at 7:45 PM. <br />II. POLICIES AND PROCEDURES OF THE COMMITTEE <br />I- <br />A. Minutes and Agenda: <br />Susan Flannery will prepare the Agenda and Susan Horn will <br />provide the Minutes and both will be mailed together through <br />Jonathan Edwards office (Town Planner), under whose <br />jurisdiction this Steering Committee falls. Minutes will go <br />to all Steering Committee members, Ray Couture (legal <br />counsel), Arnold Berger (benefactor), the Town Planner's <br />office, the Selectmen's Office and the Reading Public <br />Library. Anyone not on the Committee whose specific task <br />commissioned by the Committee is spelled out in a particular <br />set of Minutes shall also receive a copy of those Minutes. <br />B. Open Meeting Law Posting <br />Susan Flannery will post the meeting at least 48 hours in <br />advance of the meeting (as required by the Open Meeting Law) <br />with the Town Clerk. With this posting will be an Agenda. If <br />possible, she will post it the previous Thursday in order for <br />the DAILY CHRONICLE to pick it up in their weekly calendar. <br />C. Budget for Town Meeting <br />We should submit a line item to Town Meeting as a budget for <br />the operation of this Committee. Currently, we are drawing <br />from a General Administrative Fund. <br />A report will be expected at spring Town Meeting from this <br />Committee as well as something for the Annual Town Report. <br />D. Mailing Address <br />The Steering Committee letterhead reads 1116 Lowell Street" <br />
