, Board.of Health <br />Minutes - November 9, 1992 <br />The meeting of the Board of Health came to order at 6:30 <br />p.m. in Room A214 of Reading Memorial High School on November 9, <br />1992. Present at the meeting were Chairman James Nugent, board <br />members Cathy Baranofsky and Bill Murphy, staff Ruth Cogan and <br />interested parties O. Bradley Latham, Peter Ogren, Jay Corey, <br />Jonathan Edwards and Bill Goodrich. <br />The minutes of October 8, 1992 were approved 3:0:0 with one <br />correction. <br />Definitive Plan Bay State Road: After a presentation by <br />Corey and Latham, the Board voted 3:0:0 to approve the definitive <br />plan of Bay State Road with the following conditions: <br />1) Existing septic system for #62 must be shown on the plan <br />2) #62 must be connected to the municipal sewer system <br />3) High water levels for each lot are to performed in the <br />spring witnessed by an agent of the Board of Health. Minimum <br />cellar floor elevations are to be at least two feet above high <br />water levels. <br />4) High water level and percolation test are to be performed <br />at the location of the drywellls, in the sping and witnessed by <br />an agent of the Board of Health. <br />Preliminary Plan Autumn Lane: After a presentation by Ogren, <br />the Board voted 3:0:0 to approve the Preliminary Plan Autumn Lane <br />with the following conditions: <br />1) High water levels for each lot are to be performed in the <br />spring witnessed by an agent of the Board of Health. Minimum <br />cellar floor elevations are to be at least two feet above high <br />water levels. <br />2) Existing septic or sewer connections are to be shown on <br />the plan. <br />Old Business: Cogan gave a report on the 1992 flu shots on <br />the 1992 flu clinics. 1137 flu and 55 pneumonia shots were <br />given, an increase of 17% for flu shots. The following recommen- <br />dations were made for next year: have the Cedar Glen clinic open <br />to only those residents as their common room is insufficient to <br />accomodate a large group; have the clinics later in the season <br />(end of October, beginning of November); have only one clinic for <br />all town employees; continue the practice of giving the school <br />nurses supplies to have their own clinics at each school. <br />
