Minutes <br />The Board of Health meeting came to order <br />January 13, 1994 in the Berger Room of Town <br />meeting were members Cathy Baranofsky, Bill <br />staff Ruth Cogan and guest Victoria Dolben. <br />r 5:25 pm, ThUrsday, <br />Hall. Present-at-the <br />Murphy, Jim Nugent, <br />The minutes of the meeting of December 9, 1993 were approved <br />3:0:0 as approved. <br />A Public Hearing was held regarding Section 13 of the Board of <br />Health Rules and Regulations Massage Therapy; Bodywork; Movement <br />Education. Comments were given by Victoria Dolben. There was <br />discussion concerning whether the Board wanted to allow prac- <br />titioners from other towns who did not have a Reading business to <br />practice off-site only in Reading. The consensus was to start <br />with Reading businesses only. The hearing was closed at 5:45 pm. <br />Motion made by Nugent, seconded by Murphy to accept the revisions <br />to Section 13 and 22 (fee schedule). Motion passed 3:0:0. <br />The Board discussed the proposed policy concerning classification <br />of food service establishments to high and low risk with inspec- <br />tion schedules according to classification. The Board was com- <br />fortable with the proposed policy; it will be sent to all <br />licensees for comment. Action will be taken at the next meeting. <br />Baranofsky discussed her meeting with the Town Manager concerning <br />AIDS education activities. Cogan gave an overview of current ac- <br />tivities. After discussion, it was decided to keep the focus <br />this year on radon and tobacco issues. <br />Cogan reviewed a current trash issue at the Schoolhouse Con- <br />dominiums noting that the Board may be asked for a formal <br />opinion. She also noted a change in schedule with the Board of <br />Selectmen, changing their meeting with the Board of Health to <br />February 8. She also discussed her appointment to the Dept of <br />Public Health's Local Health Commission 2000. <br />Meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm. <br /> <br />
