The meeting of the Board of Health came to order at 5:30 pm on Monday, November 6, 1995 in <br />the Berger Room of Town Hall. Present at the meeting were Board members Cathy Baranofsky, <br />William Murphy, and James Nugent and staff Ruth Clay. <br />Minutes of October 12, 1995 were approved as submitted by a vote of 3:0:0. <br />The Board discussed the Instructional Motion to be made at Town Meeting and reviewed the <br />presentation to be made by Baranofsky. <br />Nugent left the meeting <br />Public Hearing for a request for a variance for Reading Redemption Center from State Sanitary <br />Code for Food Establishments Article X Section 590.021 (B): Clay read the Public Meeting <br />Notice published in the Reading Times Chronicle. The Board voted 2:0:0 to approve the variance <br />with the condition that it would be revoked if there was any evidence of insect or rodent activity <br />in the store while doing routine inspections. <br />Definitive Plan - Marion Road: The Board of Health voted 2:0 to approve the Definitive Plan for <br />Marion Road with the following conditions: <br />1. Test pit and soil results are to be shown on the plans. Minimum cellar floor elevations are to <br />be two feet above seasonal high groundwater. Those figures are to be shown on the plan filed <br />with Registry of Deeds. There is no way to determine minimum cellar elevations with the plans <br />filed. <br />3 <br />2. The deep observation hole for lot 4 is to be redone on the buildable part of the lot by a licensed <br />soil evaluator witnessed by an agent of the Board of Health. The existing hole was done in the <br />area of the setback. <br />Definitive Plan - Corey Lane: the Board voted 2:0 to approve the Definitive Plan for Corey Lane <br />with the following conditions: <br />1. Test pit and soil log results are to be shown on the plans. Minimum cellar floor elevations are <br />to be two feet above seasonal high groundwater. Those figures are to be shown on the plan filed <br />with the Registry of Deeds. <br />2. A deep observation hole noting seasonal high groundwater must be performed on lot 2 by a <br />licensed soil evaluator witnessed by an agent of the Board of Health. <br />Meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm <br />Rut Clay, MPH <br />Director <br />
