D~Jr <br />Recreation Minutes <br />September 12, 1990 <br />A meeting of the Recreation Committee was called to order by <br />Chairman John Fallon at 7:40p.m.. Present were committee members <br />R. Fotino, J. Pacino, M. Williams, F. Conover & J. Connelly also <br />associate member J. Mullen. T. McGrath arrived 8:00. <br />A motion to approve the minutes of the August 8, 1990 was made by <br />J. Pacino, seconded by R. Fotino. Approved 4=0-2 Connelly, Con- <br />over abstained <br />The Supervisor's Report was discussed with a few changes sug- <br />gested. Mr. Pacino complimented Ms. Wexler on such a complete <br />report. <br />CITIZEN INPUT- <br />Jon Asgeirsson of the Woburn City Band suggested a date of Novem- <br />ber 4 for the Fall Concert. Much discussion followed. F. Con- <br />over motioned for the concert to be held at either Eaton or <br />Parker Jr. High on November 4 at 7:00p.m. Seconded by M. Wil- <br />liams - unanimous vote 6-0 It was also suggested PTO be con- <br />tacted to possibly serve refreshments as a fundraiser. <br />SUMMER EVALUATIONS <br />Ms. Wexler discussed the different programs and answered ques- <br />tions pertaining to Water Aerobics, Golf League and Swim Lessons; <br />also concerns on pool maintenance. <br />TEEN CENTER <br />R. Fotino gave an update on the Teen Center Sub Committee' s <br />progress. All the pros and cons of the program were discussed. <br />F. Conover made a motion to propose a short term trial period to <br />start whenever facility is available. It would be run through <br />the revolving fund. 5-0 unanimous <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Ms. Wexler discussed the possibility of a season pool pass. <br />b. Ms Wexler stated she had met with Supertindent Munnelly who <br />agreed no custodial fees would be charged if held during the <br />week for current programs, also as long as everything is <br />left spotless. Weekend programs would be assessed a fee. <br />C. New Programs Proposed <br />1 <br />
