Recreation Minutes <br />March 13, 1991 <br />A meeting of the Recreation Committee was called to order by <br />Chairman J. Fallon at 7:36p.m.. In attendance were Committee <br />members C. Kaminer, J. Connelly, C. Swymer, J. Pacino, J. Gior- <br />dano, M. Williams, F. Conover, T. McGrath, associate members J. <br />Mullen, S. Sullivan, L. Salter, S Quinlan, also citizen6Marty <br />McWilliamsf ; : <br />C. Kaminer motioned to accept the Feb. 27 minutes. seconded by J. <br />Pacino - unanimous. <br />At 7:45 Marty McWilliams spoke about problems occuring at <br />Washington Park with teens loitering and being disruputive. The <br />posted hours are sunrise to 10p.m. He requested that something <br />be done about the closing time. After much discussion on this it <br />was decided the Rules & Regs Sub Committee would meet and con- <br />struct anew set of guidelines to put forth to the Selectmen. <br />At 8:00 L. Salter updated the committe on the Tennis Open. K. <br />Kaminer stated that Converse agreed to donate 200 hats & t-shirts <br />as the sponsor. <br />J. Giordano stated 4 surrounding towns are sending in their Rules <br />& Regs for field usage and his committee will use these as guid- <br />lines. They will have a report at April meeting. <br />J. Connelly presented and reviewed the Spring & Summer field as- <br />signments. F. Driscoll has requested a change for Reading Youth <br />Softball from the Tennis Court Field to Sturgis Park. J. Con- <br />nelly wants to keep Sturgis open as a make up field. J. Fallon <br />made a motion to change schedule - Reading Youth Softball to <br />Sturgis Field and Tennis Court Field for make up. C. Swymer <br />seconded 5 in favor, 4 opposed - passed. <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:30. <br />1 <br />
