Lorraine Salter wondered if the
Committee could possibly speak with families involved. It was
decided to address these and other concerns to EMARC, through the
assistance of the Human Services Director.
AT 8pm , a Public Hearing was held. Mr. Giordano, read the legal
notice for the hearing and welcomed Peter Moscariello to begin
the discussion. Mr. Moscariello reviewed his proposal for the
cage and the various areas of Morton Field where it might be
built.
P. Moscariello stated that he and several neighbors of the park
scouted the right field for a sight. All present found it unac-
ceptable, being too close to the Tennis Courts and Bancroft Ave.
P. Moscariello asked that the vote for construction in right
field be reconsidered, as he felt it would be better in left
field area.
Several abutters spoke for and against the structure. Selectman
George Hines spoke in favor of the cage and expressed that he did
not believe it would be used only by baseball and would not be
a nuisance at all.
