The minutes
were approved unanimously 6-0-0.
Correspondence from Steve Rhodes of Reading Summer Softball, Mim
Jarema, the RMHS Field Hockey Coach, and Jessie Mraz of the "Y"
were briefly reviewed.
Supervisor's Report
Ms. Wexler summarized the Supervisor's report for March
1992. The major subject discussed was the Red Cross Swim Program
for the upcoming Summer. Ms. Wexler stated that only 50% of the
lessons were full and that perhaps we should offer the program to
out-of-towners. The committee discussed the idea, with F. Con-
over suggesting that an additional fee be charged to participants
from out of town. Chairman J. Giordano felt the idea worth pur-
suing, and a fee of $65.00 for out- of -towners was agreed upon.
F. Conover made a motion to approve the idea and fee of $65.00.
Tom McGrath seconded the motion and it passed with a vote of
6-0-0. J. Giordano made a motion to approve the supervisor's
report. K. Kaminer seconded the motion with a vote of 6-0-0.
CITIZEN INPUT
At 8:10p.m. Dom Orozco of Reading United Soccer came before
the committee, outlining his program and expressing his need for
one additional field within the town. Mr. Orozco explained that
due to the growth of the program, games are currently being run
at difficult times. He said that if one more field were made ac-
cessible, the organization would run much better. J. Giordano
said he understood Mr. Orozco's problem, yet would have to wait
to consider the request until the Field Assignment Sub-Committee
could meet again. Mr. Giordano said that he would work with the
sub-committee on this. Dom Orozco mentioned the condition of the
fields, particularly Parker Lower Field, being in very bad shape.
D. Orozco said the fields need a rest.
1
